This Privacy Policy explains how Nova (the "App"), operated by Linyi Xiaohai Network Technology Co., Ltd. ("Nova", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, and protects your information. Nova is an AI-powered image and video generation studio. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
- Account & identity. The App can be used as a guest: on first launch we create an anonymous guest account tied to a device-generated identifier. We do not require your name, email, or phone number to use core features. If you choose to sign in, we process the credentials you provide.
- Device & technical data. Device model, operating system version, app version, language/region, and a non-advertising device identifier used for security (request signing) and abuse prevention.
- Content you provide. Text prompts and any reference images, video, or audio you upload to generate or edit content.
- Generated content. The images, videos, or audio the App produces from your inputs, and the parameters used to create them.
- Purchase data. Your subscription and credit-balance status. Payments are processed by Apple; we never receive or store your full payment-card details.
- Diagnostics. Aggregated, privacy-scrubbed crash reports and performance events. Sensitive values (tokens, emails, secrets) are redacted before leaving your device.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, and improve the App and its features.
- To process your prompts and reference media to generate the content you request.
- To manage your credits, subscriptions, and entitlements.
- To secure the service, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
- To diagnose problems, monitor reliability, and comply with legal obligations.
3. AI Processing of Your Content
To generate or edit content, your prompts and any reference media are transmitted to and processed by our generation infrastructure and trusted AI model providers acting on our behalf. Do not submit content you do not have the right to use, or that you would not want processed by an automated system.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service:
- Apple — for in-app purchases, subscription management, and receipt validation.
- Infrastructure & AI providers — cloud hosting, content delivery/storage, and AI model providers that process generation requests under contract.
- Legal & safety — when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or Nova.
5. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Generated content and uploaded references may be cached temporarily to deliver results and then deleted on a rolling basis.
6. Your Rights & Choices
- Access & correction. You may request a copy of, or correction to, the personal information we hold about you.
- Account & data deletion. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us at the address below. We will delete or anonymize your data except where retention is required by law.
- Subscriptions. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings (see our Subscription Terms).
7. Security
We use technical and organizational measures—including encrypted transport and signed requests—to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
8. Children's Privacy
Nova is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International Transfers
We operate globally. Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, which may have different data-protection laws. We take steps to protect your information consistent with this Policy wherever it is processed.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
